Classic French batard is a parbaked frozen loaf that’s shorter and wider than a traditional baguette. Approximately 18 inches in length, the loaf has a tender interior with a small, irregular, random cell structure and a crispy exterior with a thin, golden crust. The wider loaf works well for sandwich applications.
