Preparation Instructions

Wash hands. Wash all fresh, unpackaged produce under cool, running water; drain well. Bake the bread per package instructions. Cool and slice the bread into 1/2″, 1 1/4″ slices. Each portion will consist of two sandwiches, using 4 slices of bread. Spread the bottom slices of bread with 1 tsp. of the strawberry preserves. Add 1/2 slice of cheese, 3/4 oz. of apple slices, and 2 oz. of the turkey. Heat the oil in a sauté pan or on a flat grill. Dip both sides of the sandwich in the beaten egg. Cook on both sides until golden-brown and heated through. CCP: Final internal cooking temperature must reach a minimum of 145°F, held for a minimum of 15 seconds. Slice the two sandwiches in half and place on a warm serving plate.
